Find Your Perfect Fit
80% of women wear the wrong bra size. Are you one of them?
Discover the right fit for your breasts and enjoy the ultimate support and comfort.
The result: You look better, you feel better, and your posture is better. Mission accomplished!
These six tips will help you determine whether you’re wearing the right size.
1. The back band
Despite what most women think, the back band is responsible for the majority of a bra's support – up to 80%. If the back band doesn't fit well, your breasts won't get the support they need. For women with a large cup size, it’s even more important to find a sturdy band that sits parallel to the floor. If it rides up, you may need to size down. If it digs in, you may need to size up.
Tip: Fasten your bra on the middle hook and see if you can fit three fingers under the clasp. If you can and if the band doesn't ride up when you raise your arms, you're in the right bra size.
2. The underwire
The underwire should lie flat against your chest, without digging in. If it bounces back when you press on it, the cups are probably too small. The underwire should also encircle the breasts completely. Any poking or pinching is a no-go.
3. The centre gore
The center gore of your bra is the part that connect the two cups. If your bra fits perfectly, the gore will lie flat against your chest. If the gore is raised and doesn't touch your skin, either size up or try a different bra style that better suits the shape of your breasts.
4. The cups
The fit of the cups determines the comfort and look of your bra. Do the upper cups lie flat against your breasts and is the fabric smooth and unwrinkled? If so, you're in the right bra size. If the cups gape or if the fabric wrinkles and puckers, try a smaller cup size. If the sides of your bra dig in or if you have spillage on the top or the sides, your bra is too small.
5. Can you fit two fingers under the straps?
Did you know that the straps only provide about 10% of a bra's support? Straps should feel comfortable on your shoulders without pinching or digging in. The back band and the center gore do most of the heavy lifting when it comes to supporting. Tip: Adjust the straps until you can fit two fingers between the strap and your shoulder.
6. How does your bra make you feel?
A beautiful bra in the right size instantly makes you feel elegant and confident. If you’ve finished our fit test, the next step is to think about how your lingerie makes you feel? You may feel more comfortable in a bra with more coverage or in a more revealing style made from lighter materials. Trying on lingerie is kind of like trying on shoes: The right size is important, but so is the fit, the material, and the overall look!
