The Daily Post: Lingerie République Coming to Town & Country

Palo Alto’s most luxurious lingerie boutique is moving to Town & Country, with their grand opening set for May 1, just a week from today.

Lingerie République is moving from its downtown home at 547 Bryant St. to Building 1, Suite 4 in Town & Country Village, right across from Kara’s Cupcakes and just next door to the gorgeous Serena & Lily. The grand opening starts at noon next Wednesday, and the first 60 people to arrive will receive a special gift bag of goodies and coupons from Cosabella among other surprises. From noon to 6 p.m. you can enjoy music, treats, charcuterie, a look at all-new collections and an opening day 20% discount off of everything in the entire store. And if you can’t make it next Wednesday, you can still enjoy 15% off everything in the store for the rest of that week.

Founder and CEO Natalie Torres said it was time for her business to move to a bigger and more modern space. Lingerie République carries an abundant array of luxury and designer brands, including Aubade, Fleur Du Mal, Primadonna, Marie Jo, and Marlies Dekkers, to name a few. The boutique aims to remain accessible to all women and also carries several affordable designers such as Cosabella, Chantelle and Simone Perele.

They’re known for expert bra fittings so customers can shop with confidence, and they cater to all sizes and shapes, from A to M cups, Torres said.

“You can walk in my doors and know you’ll have an abundance of size options,” she said.

Torres grew up in the industry, learning from her mother, Rachel Kassar, who owned Charmelle 28 Fine Lingerie for many years at 547 Bryant St.

“She paved the way for the industry on bra fittings and fine lingerie and beautiful luxury designers,” said Torres. “I was trained by the best and fell in love with the science behind the fittings. I soon adopted the title of the bra whisperer.”

Torres and her staff help women with all occasions and in all stages of life, from first bras and wedding lingerie recommendations to pre- and post-surgical bras for mastectomy patients. After a client is expertly sized, the shopping experience becomes much more fun, said Torres.

“I hand-select the bras that I think will fit your shape perfectly,” she said. “And then the client tries on a bunch of bras that actually fit. It’s an easy comfortable experience, like shopping experiences should be.
