Taking Good Care of Your Lingerie

At Lingerie République, we believe in the importance of taking good care of your lingerie. Special care should also be taken when washing - always follow the laundering instructions on the label to keep your lingerie looking like new.

How do you take proper care of your lingerie?

Check the specific washing instructions on the sewing label. Fasten all hooks and separate your lingerie in a sealable laundry bag.

Fill the washing machine to a maximum of 1/3, preferably with other fine items of the same color. Choose a delicate wash program at 86°F (unless otherwise indicated on the label), at a low speed (max. 600 rpm). Use a small amount of mild liquid detergent for delicate laundry and do not add bleach or fabric softener.

Do not put your items in the dryer, but let them air dry on a drying rack (preferably indoors or in the shade, not in full sun). Separate the cups of your pre-shaped bras so that they dry without dents or creases. Do not wring out your lingerie or swimwear, never place your items on a heat source, and do not iron them.

When your items are completely dry, it is important to store them properly. Slide the cups of your bras and swimwear together and store them in a row so they retain their shape in your drawer. Do not fold or crease them.

Additional tip: it is recommended to wash your lingerie after 2 or 3 wears.
